Please pray for the country of Belgium as bombings at the international airport and a subway station in Brussels have left more than 30 people dead and more than 200 others wounded this morning. All WorldVenture personnel in the country have reported that they are safe.
“We are grateful for the safety of all our workers in Belgium,” said Marty Shaw, WorldVenture’s Vice President of International Ministries. “At the same time, we grieve the deaths and injuries that occurred today.”
Belgium has declared three days of national mourning and has raised the terrorism level to the highest threat. WorldVenture leaders and personnel in the area will continue to monitor the situation.
“Please pray for the WorldVenture people in Belgium that they might be able to minister well at this time,” said Shaw.
WorldVenture previously released a statement following the November Paris terrorist attacks.
