[Denver, CO, July 10, 2019] As part of a global strategy to increase gospel impact among unreached people groups (UPG’s), WorldVenture is excited to announce that a new role coordinating Global Muslim Initiatives has been filled.  This position will provide training, resourcing, and strategy development to WorldVenture workers engaged in ministry among Muslim unreached people groups (MUPG’s).  The name of the individual overseeing this important work has been redacted for security purposes.

“Every Muslim should have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus,” [redacted] shared.  “It’s hard to fathom that in today’s modern, globalized age, there remain [those] who have not been given that opportunity.”

With a heart for the unreached, and extensive education, experience, and many years living in a gateway city of East Africa, [redacted] knows first-hand how to love, serve, and share the good news among Muslims.  Leading WorldVenture’s Global Muslim Initiatives allows him to bring greater coordination to worldwide efforts to do the same.  In addition to casting vision among WorldVenture workers, partners, and churches, [redacted] will assess current engagement, develop localized strategies, and facilitate networks, support systems, and training for those presently engaged in Muslim ministry and those preparing to do so.  Coordinating a global strategy is a challenge, but [redacted] is embracing his new role wholeheartedly and challenging others in the process.

“Historically, things like fear, misunderstanding, conflict, apathy and prejudice have prevented us—the global Church—from loving our Muslim neighbors well,” said [redacted]. “The time has come for God’s people to acknowledge and overcome these hurdles.”

Lloyd Chinn, International Ministries Director for the continent of Africa, agreed, saying “this position is a significant step by WorldVenture to move intentionally toward the unreached.”

Love your website….first time I’ve visited it.
Special blessings on your new Global Initiatives Leader!
And, sad to hear of Ray Buker’s passing….he was a wonderful example to us all. (“In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, we have the victory,…”). We have memories of him from the 1950s, when Central Baptist in Quincy, MA was supporting him.
