[Denver, CO, June 18, 2018] Signaling a new strategy for advancement, church partnerships, missionary recruiting, and donor development, WorldVenture president, Dr. Jeff Denlinger, announced the hiring of Dr. James V. Bull to the role of Vice President, Advancement. Dr. Bull starts July 1, 2018.

“We are convinced that we must chart a new organizational direction,” Denlinger told the WorldVenture Board of Directors recently. “We must more closely align ourselves with others in our common journey of living out the Great Commission… I am very grateful to God for bringing Jim and Selma Bull to us for this next chapter in WorldVenture’s journey.”

Dr. Bull will lead the newly forming Advancement division. His hiring signals the first step in a new strategy for WorldVenture’s advancement efforts. The Advancement division will be predicated on the biblical conviction that partnerships are grounded in a mutual gospel obedience and tangibly expressed by advancing the gospel. His team will be responsible for overseeing all of WorldVenture’s advancement efforts. This new strategy will create better alignment and help bring to life WorldVenture’s vision of seeing “multitudes of disciples compelled by the love of God and willing to risk all so that people are transformed by God, impacting their families, communities, and world.”

“There is profound excitement to dream of multitudes of disciples marked by God’s love and willing to risk all to engage the world for gospel impact—and actually getting to and living in that reality!” said Denlinger.“But we cannot do it if we remain fixed in our current ways of thinking and acting.”

Dr. Bull is well-qualified for the new role and the new course WorldVenture is taking with Advancement. Bull served as an international worker in Italy and has been a past member of the WorldVenture Board of Directors. He has more recently served as senior pastor and overseen the significant growth and expansion of two churches that substantially support the gospel ministry of WorldVenture. Dr. Bull understands the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities facing organizations that share similar history and vision.

As Denlinger said, “I genuinely believe that God has brought Jim for such a time as this.”
