Pathfinders is a 4 week to 1 year volunteer program focused on growing the kingdom of God, both in the life of the Pathfinder and in the locations where they serve. Pathfinder internships are individualized opportunities that match your gifts and passions with real needs as you come alongside and learn from WorldVenture missionaries. As a Pathfinder you’ll gain experience in cross-cultural ministry and an opportunity to uniquely contribute to the growth of the church.
Where do you fit?
Summer mission teams go out for six to eight weeks during the summer. These teams work alongside our missionaries and global ministries, helping encourage and grow the global church.
We set up individualized internships for cross-cultural ministry experience that can range from 1 month to 1 year. All talents and professions welcome.
Our academic internships access the same large pool of global opportunities as the experience internships, but they are enhanced to meet the academic requirements of your school.
Step 1: The Go Form
Filling out the Go form is the first step in letting us know you are interested in serving as a Pathfinder. It only takes about 5 minutes! A missions coach will then get in touch with you to help figure out if Pathfinders is a good fit for you, and if you’re ready to apply.
Step 2: Application
Once you and your missions coach have agreed Pathfinders is a good fit for you, your coach will walk you through the entire process of applying to serve. The application typically takes 2-4 weeks to complete.
Step 3: Pre-Field Preparation
When your application is cleared and you’re endorsed to serve as a Pathfinder, you’ll begin support raising and pre-field training. A mission mentor will provide one-on-one support to guide you through the pre-field process, helping equip you for the journey ahead. This all takes about 3 months or so.
Step 4: Departure to the Field
Once you have completed pre-field training and finished raising support, you’ll be on your way!
