Currently a WorldVenture missionary teaches an English club several times a week for young people in her community, however she will retire in the near future. Therefore we're looking for an individual who has a desire to carry on this great ministry. Second, CEFOI, a Seminary that WorldVenture works with, desires an English teacher for their students, as well as their professors and staff members. English is vital as Madagascar lacks quality study books and other resources in the Malagasy language. CEFOI stands for Centre Evangelique De Formation De L’Ocean Indien. It is a bible school built in 1991 in order to respond to many young Christians’ wish to get evangelical and theological training in Madagascar. The school is under the umbrella of CEIM (Communaute Evangelique Independante de Madagascar). It’s main purpose is to train people to become mature leaders who will in turn train others in their own Christian churches/associations. The majority of the nursing staff at SCH are young women with a basic 10th grade education who are trained on site to be nurse aides. Some would like to continue their education and become midwives. However, the interview for midwifery school requires an English exam and the girls are having difficulty passing the exam. An ESL teacher is needed to help them improve their English written and oral skills. As the young women are able to take the midwifery training they can then return to the hospital and serve as midwives, filling a constant need of midwifery staff. Read More
