6462-902-Bethel Bible Institute (IBB) Guesthouse
A guesthouse is a tool which allows an institution like IBB to house its teachers and visitors at reasonable rates, saving precious resources for investment in other areas such as the purchase of educational materials and making needed capital improvements elsewhere in the school. A guesthouse can also generate funds that may help towards subsidizing the education of leaders for West Africa.
As with any educational institution, IBB is highly subsidized due to the high cost of keeping qualified teachers and providing good training for our students. It is our hope that through providing good and reasonable housing options for visiting professors we can draw quality professors to our school.
IBB is the main pastoral and leadership training tool in Côte d'Ivoire with WorldVenture and our Association fellowship the AEBECI (Association of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Côte d'Ivoire). Due to the increasing number of students and the addition of new classes, more teachers are needed for longer periods of time. Because of these encouraging trends we find that housing needs for professors, both residential and temporary, has become an increasing challenge.
Without another house on campus, it is likely that there will be a serious reduction in the number of leaders equipped fro ministry. The implication of equipping leaders is vast, which includes other objectives such as the multiplication of Jesus followers, the establishment of reproducing churches and the demonstration of compassion.
We are looking to raise $30,000 USD this year for the ground-up construction of one new guesthouse on IBB's campus in Korhogo, Cote d'Ivoire.
