Vision Trip to Restoration Ministries
Come experience firsthand the ministry of Restoration Ministries in the slums and poor areas of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Vision trips have proven to be an effective means to experience, first-hand the ministry of Restoration Ministries in the slums and poor areas of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Pastors, ministry leaders, prospective missionaries, and prospective supporters have been able to experience this exciting ministry in action. Many have come from the US while others have come from other countries in the world.
A typical vision trip is three to four days where visitors will be able to tour two or three favelas (slums) and observe the ministry in action. This will include witnessing Agitas (VBS programs in the favelas), Bible studies, sporting events, English classes, musical training, and a visit to our main Ministry Center (Day Center) where ministry activities and church events are held throughout the week.
The trip will include a visit to the 120-acre Camp California ministry near Sao Paulo, where weekend activities are held for children, youth, and adult groups. During the trip, visitors will meet and interact with a number of the ministry leaders and be given the opportunity to join in some of the activities and services. Some pastors and ministry leaders have been invited to preach at a service through a translator. Some may even choose to help with our staff leadership training.
After the trip, some have chosen to organize short-term teams from their church to join with the ministry, become financial supporters, and even implement some of the ministry concepts in their own ministry areas. There are ministries in Peru, South Africa, and in the US that have viewed Restoration Ministries as a proven model for ministry to the inner city.
