International Student Outreach
Thousands of foreign students from least-evangelized nations are studying in Philippine universities. We envision them returning to their home countries as new believers who are adequately discipled to express and live out their new faith in Christ. Local believers need training in cultural sensitivity and ministry methods appropriate for international students in order to present the gospel in such a way that the students will understand and receive it. Personnel are needed to start or play a major role in starting an International Student Ministry network. Workers will cooperate with local church leaders in developing strategies for linking international students in the Philippines with local believers, and inspire and coach church members for developing authentic relationships with foreign students. They will look for ways to cooperate with local universities to provide various kinds of assistance such as hospitality, housing, cultural transition coaching, English tutoring, etc. in order to create opportunities for Christian witness.
