Guest House Manager
Use gifts of hospitality to serve missionaries and teams passing through Bamako. This is an opportunity to participate in ministries going on in West Africa. As the guest house only requires part-time work a person is free to exercise their gifts and passions in other ministries in Bamako (i.e. University student outreach, teaching English, working with street children, etc.).
Spiritually sensitive. Growing in your relationship with the Lord. Friendly. Willing to live in hot, at times humid and dusty conditions. Willing to grow, develop, learn and be stretched beyond what you could imagine. Open to long-term service. Looking for someone with a servant's heart and attitude of hospitality. Some knowledge of maintenance and repair helpful. Know French or are willing to learn on field.RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide housing and assistance for missionary personnel and teams going to and from rural West Africa. These people do business and shopping in Bamako, fly in/out of Bamako, find rest and respite from ministry and/or political stress in their area of service. Mentor and interact with African staff and oversee necessary maintenance.LANGUAGE NEEDS

Bamako is the fastest growing city in Africa. It is on the Niger River, not far from the Sahara Desert. Housing is modern with normal urban amenities in the city center. A/C is available. There are produce markets within walking distance and western grocery stores a short drive away.WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Experienced, dedicated, committed missionaries use the 11 room guest house in downtown Bamako. Experienced African personnel take care of the property both inside and out. The job involves taking reservations, doing light bookkeeping, overseeing workers and maintenance needs while encouraging the missionary guests and mission teams who are on their way to and from basic, isolated work situations.INTERNSHIP
