WorldVenture is pleased to announce the selection of our new President and CEO, Dr. Jeff Denlinger.
Jeff came to WorldVenture in 1988 as a mid-term missionary working in Davao City, Philippines. Two years later, in 1990, Jeff and his wife, Christine went as career missionaries with WorldVenture, to Caracas, Venezuela with a focus on church planting.
Before coming to the home office, Jeff was the team leader for the WorldVenture Venezuela team. In 2002, he was asked by the home office to become Vice President of International Ministries, to give leadership to WorldVenture ministries around the world. In the last 3 years, Jeff has served as Senior Vice President of International Ministries.
In the last 10 years of executive leadership, Jeff has built a team of International Ministry Directors, given oversight to the development, implementation, and accomplishment of strategic ministries in alignment with WorldVenture’s strategic purposes.
Jeff received his bachelor’s degree at Ferrum College in agriculture (B.A., 1984); then continued on to graduate from Columbia International University with a Masters of Divinity (M.Div., 1988); and most recently from Western Seminary with a Doctor of Missiology (D.Miss., 2010). He is married to Christine, a licensed professional counselor, with a significant ministry in counseling here in the Denver area. The Denlingers have two grown children, Andy and Rachel. They make their home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

Jeff will become President, effective November 1, 2012.
WorldVenture is very excited about this next season of ministry under Jeff’s leadership. The Board of Directors of WorldVenture will work closely with the Presidential Transition Team to conduct the installation of our new President on January 30th, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. At Jeff’s request, Hans Finzel, WorldVenture’s outgoing President, will work alongside him for the remaining weeks of 2012.
A message from the Chairman of the WorldVenture Board:
In summer 2011, various elements of WorldVenture Leadership Community, met in the beauty of Winter Park, Colorado for our Summer leadership retreat. During those meetings, Hans Finzel, President of WorldVenture for 20 years, made the decision to step aside from his role as President, to focus on a fresh vision of ministry to which God was calling him and his wife, Donna.
Thus began the task of searching for the person God had chosen as the Mission’s next leader. This task was enormous, in that WorldVenture has had only two leaders in the last 43 years. Warren Webster for 23 years and Hans Finzel for the last 20 years. This task was especially significant in light of the radically changing world in which we live and the radically changing world of missions.
Who was God’s person and how might he be discovered? Thus, a 15 months search process was initiated by the Board of Directors. Information was gathered from every corner of the world from various stake holders; surveys were sent; numbers of phone calls; lengthy conversation and personal interviews conducted. Literally, hundreds of hours were invested in this discovery process. All for the purpose of discovery; the discovery of God’s next leader for WorldVenture.
By unanimous decision, the Board of Directors of WorldVenture are pleased to announce our invitation to, and the acceptance by Dr. Jeff Denlinger, to become the next President of WorldVenture.
- Sam Earp, Chairman of the Board of Directors
A message from WorldVenture's outgoing President:
I could not be more pleased with the appointment of my friend and colleague, Jeff Denlinger. Jeff has been on our leadership team at the headquarters for a decade and has worked directly with me for three years. He is an outstanding choice and I applaud the board for their decision. The mission is in good hands for an exciting future.
