| Mission Internship | 10 Months | 10 Months | Africa | Mozambique | Join eight Africans and one other American in a one year African learning experience, living, learning and serving in community. Length of service is 10 months.
| Live in community with nine other young men, eight Africans & another American near senior missionaries & supervisors. Work together in projects. Serve together in ministry. Prepare meals and eat together. Stay in proximity. Teach each other including language and develop together. You will be based on the north side of Maputo, the capital. The ten of you will share four small rooms. Sleeping rooms have one or two bunk beds and mosquito nets. Prepare most of your own meals. South of the equator the American winter is hot and muggy, the American summer is much cooler and more pleasant. You will live and work together working towards a self-sustaining community. You will do community oriented projects to help your learning and growth and hopefully provide income. There is a long term hope that the community will create a church.
| Single male. High interpersonal skills. Great desire to learn. Willing to live, work and learn together with Africans, who speak Portuguese, in close surroundings. Able to be in close contact with others without having much alone time or privacy. Not afraid to work hard. Considerable ability to handle stress. Some experiences and situations will be very stressful. Willing to do with limited resources. Willing to travel and rough it. Willing to take turns cooking Mozambiqan food with other interns. At times hard physical work, distance walking, rough camping. This is a hard internship but potential for great learning and discovery. Be willing to be stretched and grow. Committed to being with other interns rather than nearby missionaries who have more comforts in their homes.

Also, there are opportunities outside the classroom to work with students in preaching and other church based ministries. Personal involvement in the lives and ministry of students is essential. | A theologically trained person who has the heart to teach pastors from under-resourced communities. Use your business skills and ministry experience to develop profitable businesses in the areas of agriculture and tourism which will serve as a platform to build evangelistic relationships. | A desire to love people and lead them to Christ. Business skills and experience are helpful.
The primary emphasis will be on church planting however, business skills or training are helpful in establishing a credible role in society. Skills and experience in evangelism and small groups are beneficial. Experienced overseas workers will provide guidance and mentoring.
