|Pastor / Discipler ||4 Years||Lifetime||Europe||Austria||Are you passionate about discipleship? Do you want to see Austrian churches engage with their culture and community to bring more people into a saving relationship with Christ? The Austria team is looking for a Pastor/Discipler to partner with Austrians in developing, strengthening and supporting Austrian-led New Testament churches in Vienna.||Partner with Austrian churches in Vienna, assisting with leading and shepherding the congregation, as well as raising up and training Austrian leaders to do the same; shepherd, counsel, preach, teach, disciple, and mentor Austrian believers and leaders; assist with the administration and leadership of an Austrian church; assume responsibilities which may include leading bible studies, preaching, training, organizing church events, evangelism and counseling.||A pastor's heart for God's people; a good Bible knowledge and theological understanding; a growing godly character; flexibility; willingness to be a servant; teachable spirit; self-discipline; self-motivation; endurance (a must); the ability and willingness to work on a team; a Master's degree is strongly desired (at minimum) or clear plans to earn one in the future; counseling skills (advantageous, but not a must); interest in engaging the younger generation of Austrians. ||1395
|Evangelist / Church Planter||5 Years||Lifetime||Europe||Austria||Do you have a heart to see Austrians transformed by life-giving relationships with Jesus? The Austria team seeks co-laborers in evangelism and church planting, with the goal of establishing Austrian-led churches.||Join a church planting team comprised of Austrians and other missionaries with the goal of establishing Austrian-led, self-sustaining and reproducing churches. Major responsibilities will include evangelism and discipleship in a primarily nominal religious culture, bringing Austrians into an authentic encounter with the resurrected Christ and helping them engage their local church.||The candidate must be a people person with a pioneer spirit. They should be gifted in personal evangelism, have good Bible knowledge and have the ability to teach God's Word. They should exhibit a willingness to think outside the box and be creative in reaching the younger generation of Austrians is also important. Other qualifications include: a growing godly character; basic counseling skills (advantageous, but not required); flexibility; a willingness to be a servant; teachable spirit; sense of humor; self-discipline; self-motivated; endurance; ability and desire to work on a team. |Refugee / Compassion Ministry||2 Years||Lifetime||Europe||Austria||Do you have a passion for reaching people from many nations with the gospel? The Austria team is seeking a Refugee/Compassion Ministry Worker to share the love of Christ and the hope of the gospel with refugees from many nations—at least 50% of whom are Muslims and originate from 10/40 Window countries. ||Join with other like-minded refugee ministry workers and the local church (Austrian, ethnic, and international) to practically demonstrate God’s love and share the gospel in a wide variety of ways with refugees from many nations. Depending on your own spiritual gifts and passions, you might join in this outreach to refugees through any of the following (or other) ways: teaching English or German; evangelistic preaching; hosting game nights at refugee homes; friendship evangelism/discipleship; clothing distribution; tutoring in various subjects; advocating for refugees in various settings (i.e. government/school/legal/medical); leading/teaching Bible studies. ||Theologically/biblically grounded; commitment to start learning German; knowledge of Islamic culture/beliefs; interest/enjoyment/comfort mixing with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds; high level of commitment to the local church; team player; compassion; self-starter. The Austria team is seeking a youth worker to reach out to Austrian youth, anywhere from Junior High age to University students, through evangelism and discipleship. The candidate would assist the Austria team in having an impact among Austrian youth for Christ and His Church. (Target age range determined by the candidate’s experience/interest.)||Work through the local church in reaching out to youth. Responsibilities would include evangelism, discipleship, integrating youth into the local church, teaching, equipping Austrian youth to reach their friends for Christ, and possible partnership with on-campus faith organizations to organize outreach events.||A people person with a heart for youth and the unique challenges they face; a good Bible knowledge and theological understanding; a growing godly character; experience working with youth; counseling skills (advantageous, but not required); flexibility; willingness to be a servant; teachable; self-discipline; self-motivated; creativity; endurance; ability and desire to work on a team; Master's degree strongly desired (at minimum or the clear plans to earn one); musical skills are a plus, but not required.||1936
