Internship for Arabic Study	Near East \| Europe

Job Summary:

Study the Arabic language and culture as well as the church situation in a Near East location. This opportunity is specifically for those interested in long-term outreach in this area of the world.

Responsibilities:

Intensive study of oral and written Arabic. The school for language learning runs from September to December and February to June. A summer school term is offered as well. The student will be in language school for 5 hours five days a week. It may take an hour in transportation to and from the language school each day. There will be up to 3 hours of homework from the language school each day. Be involved in a local Arabic speaking church and be oriented to the Arab culture. Attend a local Arabic church and participate in the normal meetings of the church as a listener and friend. This will aid in providing lots of practice in hearing and speaking the language as well as in developing relationships. Normally, a person will attend 3-4 church activities per week and visit in the homes of church members a couple of times per week. It is expected that the intern will invest up to 60 hours per week in language learning.

Requirements:

This opportunity is available to married couples or single males. If married, both spouses will attend classes.
