Evangelist / Church Planter	Paraguay \| South America

Job Summary:

There is a new moment of opportunity to work with the Paraguay Baptist Convention to cooperate with them in starting churches in Paraguay. The leadership of the Baptist Churches is very open to WorldVenture missionaries coming to help them in Evangelism and Church planting. In time, the worker would gain experience and could help train Paraguayan leaders to do the work of evangelism and church planting.

Responsibilities:

This person would work with the Baptist Convention to find ways to do evangelism that will lead to the establishment of churches. With time, the worker would train the Paraguayan believers to do this work. A key part of their responsibility would be to mobilize the youth to the work of missions. Sports or other outreach type ministries would be developed and studied in cooperation with the vision of the Baptist convention. The leaders in Paraguay are open to partner with us for the work. There are also leaders from other South American countries in Paraguay (Argentina and Brazil) and other mission organizations open to our cooperation there. There would be those to help our missionaries adapt to life and ministry in Paraguay. The work would often be done in poor settings and there would be travel to remote areas to do the work.

Requirements:

This worker would work in partnership with leaders from Paraguay and other countries in South America. He/she would serve under the national leadership and follow their lead in doing the work. We are not looking for independent minded people wanting to work only on their own ministry goals. This person should need to be able to work with youth. They need to learn from the other missionaries that are living and working in Paraguay. The worker would need to be able to live in a country where they would see poverty close up.
