Job Summary:

Sweden has changed these last 25 years with a rapid speed. The influx of many immigrants and refugees has changed the face of this nation completely and Sweden, as a nation, has not been able to cope with all the necessary changes and challenges. Large national and ethnic groups and people from the same tribes or languages (dialects) connect with each other and start communities where they create safety and belonging. Hundreds of thousands of people from all the corners of the world are among us; both legally and illegally. The mission field has come to us and these peoples need to be reached with the Gospel!

Responsibilities:

Depending on the length of term and the goals for the missionary assignment, the missionary will first start learning the Swedish language. After an agreed upon level of proficiency that is needed for the assignment, the WorldVenture missionary will then begin full time ministry among the agreed upon ethnic minority. This and all decisions will be made in partnership with the Evangeliska Frikyrkan/InterAct (EFK), our hosts and partners.

Requirements:

Willingness to work as a team player with the EFK and WorldVenture. Desire to learn the Swedish language, and possibly the language of the targeted minority. Bachelor´s degree (minimum).
