Job Summary:

Build the church in DRCongo by training trainers to teach English thereby opening the door to church and community leaders in eastern Congo so they can benefit from all the available tools and materials in English. This will also be a great opportunity for outreach.

Responsibilities:

Sequentially: Depending on length of commitment, learn language and culture. Train Congolese English teachers or set up and lead ESL programs for church leaders and others.

Requirements:

Training and/or experience in ESL. Compassion. Coaching ability. Team work. Able to work in a difficult area with limited teaching resources. Able to learn languages (longer stays). Before final long-term commitment an in-country vision trip to assess opportunities and help you prepare for the challenges seems essential. (A woman should not come individually. She should come either married or partnered with another single woman.)
