Creative Writing Internship	Mali \| Africa

Job Summary:

Help accelerate the growth of the church among a least evangelized people in southern Mali through assisting a drama ministry by creative writing. This is an excellent opportunity to learn beginning rural Africa church planting through drama/media used on the radio & use your creative gifts.

Responsibilities:

Assist missionaries and national church development through drama production for radio and other uses. Live in rural town setting, study language consistently for the first three months, encourage, minister together with national leadership under the coaching of long-term missionaries. Learn and develop creative writing skills (especially for media/radio). Do some training in your areas of expertise. Realistically your foreign language skills will not be sufficient to actually write for the drama team but creative ideas will be used. Your writing skills in English can be used for other ministries and communication with the States.

Requirements:

Spiritually sensitive, growing in your relationship with the Lord, self-starter, friendly, willing to live in hot, at times humid and dusty conditions. At least a college degree or more education and some creative writing training or experience. Willing to grow, develop, learn and be stretched beyond what you could imagine, open to long-term service, willing to travel, take risks, live in hard places, mix with the people, if invited be open to stay a second year.
