Anticipated Ministry Focus Church planting among the unreached Senoufo of Mali, Africa.
The People The people of Mali live one of the 50 poorest countries in the world and suffer as a result of this harsh reality. There is little hope amid severe heat, poverty, corruption, disease, violence, folk Islam and animism or other fear-based spirit worship.
Ministry Experience Bear is currently a youth director at Grace Church in Roanoke, Virginia, and was a youth intern at Ipswich Baptist Church in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia, for two summers. He served at the Center for Global Ministries, the missions department at Liberty University and interned at WorldVenture in the Recruitment Department. Bear has worked in the slums of Guatemala City, Guatemala; observed a church planter in Bogota, Colombia; and backpacked into the Himalayas of Asia to pass out Bibles and radios so the tribal mountain people could hear the gospel in their dialect.
Prayer Focus Please pray for God to quickly raise up a community of supporters to partner with Bear in reaching an unreached people group in Mali. Please pray that God would be softening the hearts of the Senoufo and preparing them to respond in faith to Christ. Please pray that God would make provision for the rest of his team to join him on the field.
