Ministry-at-a-Glance

Primary Ministry Focus Evangelism, discipleship, and Christian education among the refugees and expatriates living around Dakar.
The People Refugees from war-torn countries such as Liberia and Sierra Leone, also with expatriates from countries such as Chile, Japan, and China. Some of the refugees are Christians, but many are Muslim or from animistic backgrounds. The expatriates are either non- or immature Christians.
Major Challenges The extreme poverty, poor education, and refugee mentality of the people at the center require great sensitivity and patience.
Prayer Focus That even through their suffering and alienation the refugees will come to see that God loves them and has preserved them for a purpose.
