Jamie and Gayle Pund continue to serve in Italy through small group discipleship and friendship evangelism. Jamie’s future ministry focus will be on leadership development and theological teaching in keeping with WorldVenture’s vision in Italy to plant more churches. Gayle will use her many years of dance experience to begin a worship dance ministry at the church. She will also offer Christian counseling to hurting believers.
Jamie and Gayle have reason to be excited with their ministry. The Italian church they will be serving in, Il Faro, has just appointed its first full-time Italian pastor. This coincides with WorldVenture’s goal to train nationals so that they, in turn, can evangelize their fellow Italians.
In the last year, Il Faro church sent its first team of Italians on a mission trip to Africa. This team is developing a love for the nations and realizing that God may be calling them to go and make disciples.
The Punds have a great vision for their next term. Jamie and Gayle plan to join their WorldVenture colleagues to train faithful and capable Italians to lead self-sustaining and reproducing churches.

Previous Ministry Experience Jamie and Gayle served as “Life-group” leaders at Cornerstone Community Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, for six years, and as mid-term missionaries with WorldVenture at The Old Mill Camp near Naples, serving in all aspects of camp ministry for three years.
