Diagnostic imaging is almost non-existent in Madagascar. There is one CT machine for the whole island of 20 million people and there are only a handful of xray and ultrasound machines in the urban centers. This project raises money for a Sonosite machine. This portable ultrasound diagnostic imaging machine will be used in mobile medical clinics in the Mahabana region. This will enable medical personnel more effective triage and treatment in the rural/remote communities that will ultimately save lives.
