  • May into June Update

The end of May completes substitute teaching for this year and leads into a course on cultural adaptation that I need to take before I can leave.  After this, I will be continuing to connect with area churches through worship, drama, and storytelling.  Please pray that God will use these exciting opportunities to glorify Himself.

What are your summer plans?  I enjoy being able to pray for you specifically.  Thank you for serving together with Him.  You are a blessing to me.  Teah :-)

  • Answered Prayer!

    Teah's Praise/Prayer April Update

Easter was very meaningful and special.  Each of the five worship presentations went well.  The internationals enjoyed sharing the story of Jesus - His Life, Death, and Resurrection, with a powerful testimony to follow.

God keeps providing substitute teaching jobs!  Praise the Lord for the opportunity to connect with students and teachers.

A miracle has happened!  This summer there "happens" to be an opening for the cultural training course I need before I can go to Uganda, Africa (the organization is booked from April through September).  The remainder of the summer I'd like to spend connecting with churches, camps, and individuals about Uganda through drama and music - any ideas?

Thank you for praying and for sharing about this ministry with others.  God keeps increasing our team and it is so neat to see the way He works.  I couldn't do this without you.

  • Letting go... letting God

    Teah's Praise/Prayer Update March 2007

Have you ever heard the illustration of opening your hands and letting God put into them or take out whatever He wants?  If we close our hands, He can't work.  But if we open them, He is free to do His will in our lives and we can have peace.

This week I've been reminded that ministry in Uganda is not my dream - it's God's dream.  He is the One who placed me in a Christian family (one what works in an international student ministry), brought me to Himself, and gave me the desire for drama/music ministry.  He provided a Christian education at Cedarville University in theatre, Bible, and music.  Moreover, he connected me with WorldVenture - the only missions organizations I found that was excited about doing drama/music ministry full time.  So, this is His dream, not mine.  What freedom this brings.  It is not my job to convince anyone that it is important.  Please pray that I will continue to trust Him more.

Thank you for participating in His plan for the people of Africa.  I am so thankful for our partnership and being able to serve Him together!  May God bless you as you let go and let God this week.

    Love, Teah :-)

  • Blessings in Small Things

Thank you for praying for my trip to Cedarville.  As I was leaving, the WorldVenture team asked if I would return in January for the school's missions conference!  I'm so excited.

In the meantime, I'm connecting with individuals and churches, substitute teaching, and working a couple days a week at a Crisis Pregnancy Center.  It's been such a blessing to see God working in the lives of these students and ladies.  For example, a client of the Pregnancy Center needed a gate and had been on a list for a while.  One day she came in looking for a gate.  I had to tell her we didn't have one.  As she started walking out the front door, a lady came to the backdoor donating a baby gate!!!  We serve a powerful God.

Have you seen God work in unusual ways lately?

    Thanks for you partnership,

    Teah :-)

  • Prayer Requests for Ohio Trip

    Dear WorldVenture Family and Friends,

If you would, please pray for a reconnecting trip to my college, Cedarville University these last two weeks of October.  God is providing opportunities to connect with friends, speak in a church, and help WV recruit (the last two days).  Please pray for safety, wisdom, and time to have meaningful encounters with the people I love at CU.  Thank you!

      Teah :-)

  • Thank You!

    Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for taking the time to check out the "new" weblog created by WorldVenture.  This is the place where some prayer requests, praises, and updates will be posted on my appointment with WorldVenture to do drama/music ministry in Uganda, Africa.  It is FREE to join the WorldVenture community and if you would like to receive these updates automatically (from me and/or other missionaries) you can do that as well.  Please let me know your feedback!  Thanks.

       In Him,

       Teah :-)

  • "God in the Little Things" Oklahoma City 2006

This fall, Metropolitan Baptist Church asked if I would come and share in their missions conference.  The results...

after unexpected car problems - God provided a ride to the airport

not knowing anyone in Oklahoma - sweet host family and church family

powerpoint didn't work the first day - God moved beyond me and my "technology" to share His work

no wheels - many willing drivers who soon became friends

unsure of drama performance - God gave the right words at the right time

lost guitar pick - I don't know...it was rough, but pray He was glorified

youth drama team? - God provided FIVE energetic students who produced a powerful missions skit after only three days and two mini rehearsals

free/unplanned day - got to share and be blessed by church members who were in the hospital

youngest missionary present - God showered me with older and more experienced missionaries to care and encourage me

empty stomach - HOME made food EVERYDAY!

Purposeful blessing in the midst of a busy schedule– women's day out (tea and then time to spend alone with God)

ministry needs - God raised up prayer warriors and a web designer!!!

need for realness - friends who listened with their hearts and welcomed me with their arms

encouragement? - two days of conferences designed especially to encourage missionaries

    What an incredible week.

Thank you for praying. God answered your prayers in SO many ways. What a blessing.

    Teah :-)
