1.  It’s challenging to arrange meetings with mentees since many are on summer break, but I’ve been having an average of 5 meetings a week.  Please pray for quality time with each.  2 have requested serious study and application of forgiveness.  We really see to have a growing relationship with God a heart of forgiveness is vital.

2.  Pops has completed her education courses and seeking a teaching position for this school year (begins in June).  Pray for wisdom and direction.  She has finally realized she is really a driven person and desires to rest in the Lord.  Pray for balance in her life.

3.  Another praise update on Divine and Lizzette.  Last week they shared their “love story” with our couples group.  When they were finished we all decided it was more a life of “war and peace.”  They now can say they truly love each other and are striving to demonstrate love and respect to each other.  When they shared 5 of their “old” friends came to hear them.  None are Christians so pray that they will find a personal relationship with Jesus and continue to join our group.

4.  On May  26 the Women’s Ministry Team which I head up is conducting a 1 day seminar.  The topic is Celebrate His Goodness and we’ll have 5 different workshops along with a speaker, special music etc.  Please pray for my workshop on Celebrate in spite of…  I’ll focus on the trials in our lives and our emotions.  Our target is 200 women. 

5.  Pray for our ministry as a couple that our marriage will be an example to many who have never witnessed a Christian relationship.  Also pray for our small group as we tackle the topic of finances in marriage.  Statistics say it is the number one issue in marital stress and break up.

Thank you for faithfully praying for us.  We know the ministries we have can not be done in our own strength. 

June 07   

1.  Praise the Lord for a good women’s seminar last Saturday.  There were only 150 in attendance due to summer vacations, but many were blessed and challenged.  Now pray for our next Apples of God to begin the end of July.

2.  Pray for the couples in our Monday night small group as we tackle the topic of money and stewardship.  We sense some real tensions in these matters between several of the couples.  Also pray for one couple struggling with control issues and forgiveness.  Jim and I need wisdom as we meet individually with the husband and wife.

3.  Pops completed her teaching requirements and we celebrated with her since her family shows no concern for her.  She has a job teaching a 4^th grade class in a Christian school and teacher orientation has begun.  Pray for her to relate well to the other teachers and to teach well.  Classes for all Filipinos begin the first or second week in June.

4.  Continue to pray for my mentees.  I now have 6 women who I’m meeting with either weekly or every other week.  Each has her own unique needs and I am totally dependent on God’s wisdom. 

5. Joy’s husband has gone to Canada to work.  He is currently showing more interest in the family than he has in the past 15 months.  He’s called them several times and sent child support this past month.  Pray that he’ll continue to help provide for the schooling and other needs of the 3 kids.  Joy’s heart is full of forgiveness and contentment.  Praise the Lord.

6.  Please continue to pray for our under support.  The dollar continues to loose value and we are all affected by it.
