Hosting a World Prayer Venture will help motivate your congregation to be involved in God's work around the world. Basics Each World Prayer Venture can be tailored to meet the needs of your church. Why Hold a Prayer Venture Before you can talk about missions strategy and sending people, it can be invaluable to prepare your congregation. Not everyone is motivated to be involved in missions, and this can be a way to both encourage the unmotivated and broaden your church's vision from your neighborhood to the world. It will be a time of thought and reflection, prayer and worship, when your people can reflect on their role in the world and the impact they can have.
The Goal At the end of a World Prayer Venture the goal is to have a more motivated and excited congregation, a church that understands the need and is prepared to get involved.
Who Should Attend Anyone in your congregation who is open to considering the role missions should play in your church should attend. These events can be open to the entire congregation, but leaders and anyone who might serve on a missions team should especially be encouraged to attend.
Costs We only ask that you cover actual expenses of the facilitator and materials used.
